The city has a larger than average population of 20-29 year olds, primarily due to the two post-secondary institutions in the city. The average age of the city’s population is 38, with higher growth noted in the 30-40 age group. The population distribution is moving closer to a 50/50 between men and women and Lethbridge is expected to maintain its balanced growth over time.
